The Portland Foundation for Public Education is committed to supporting innovative and engaging learning opportunities for students across Portland Public Schools. Through our Mini Grants and General Fund Grants, we help educators bring creativity, exploration, and enrichment into the classroom and beyond.
Our Mini Grants, also known as Classroom Grants, provide up to $250 in funding to teachers who want to enhance their classroom experience. These grants support a wide range of projects—from purchasing new materials and supplies to introducing fresh learning activities—all with the goal of making learning more dynamic and impactful for students.
Our General Fund Grants offer broader support for larger-scale learning experiences. These grants help fund activities such as field trips, hands-on projects, team-building experiences, guest speakers, and more. By extending learning beyond the traditional classroom, these grants spark curiosity, build connections, and create lasting memories for students.
Both grant opportunities are designed to empower teachers, engage students, and enrich education in meaningful ways.
When we support our educators, we inspire our students.
